To be fair roller, it is now upto the mods to move this

Sorry Craig, but if it wasn't here in the first place they wouldn't have to waste their time doing that would they?

Being a mod isn't a paid job. They do it out of the kindness of their hearts and fit it in with the rest of their lives. Most of em have got families and stuff - they don't live on the forum. And an awful lot of background time, effort and work goes into running this every month already.

When a forum area is called 'February Screen Shot Contest' and it contains things like 'rules of the contest' and 'rules for posting screenshots' you have to be pretty darn thick if you think it's for posting other stuff. And inconsiderate too is my point.

The guys who do it are the ones who leave rubbish all over their bedroom floor and expect their Mum to clean up after em.

Which is exactly what they havent done, meaning it either doesn't need moving, or they simply don't care if it's here or not.

Forgive me if the mods move it eventually, but so far, there's no reason to complain if they don't have a problem with it.

But instead of making it easy for the hardworking guys who go to the trouble of laying these things on on your behalf you fill what is supposed to be the screen shot contest section with all sorts of cr*p like this.

Truthfully Roger, I don't see your point.

Personally I think this forum is for anything Contest-related. And if the mods want to move it, it's only a click of a mouse. Not that big a deal.

While yes, they do have lives of thier own, this is the job they signed up for. And I applaud them for that. It takes a great deal of, shall we say, "gusto" to be a mod. If they don't want to move topics, fine. But I'm sure they'd get an earful from Pete if they didn't. :)

And I just read Tweeks post and I agree. If they were to move it, they would have done it by now.

I don't want to feel like I'm arguing, Roger. Just stating my opinion. ;) :-*

I think this should be somewhere else; in the contest-section only belong entrys, nothing else!

And for the critizism: if everyone is talking too positively, the real encouraging and positive comments lose their value.

I'm with Rodger on this .......  a newbie could be forgiven for a mistake...... but by the time you reach a few hundred posts you should have a reasonable idea where things go.

Personally I know my PC is not remotely as good as other peoples (graphically speaking) so I have to let my flying talk for me ;)
I don't know that there is such a thing as constructive criticism.... advice and help yes but not constructive criticism... bit of an oxymoron if you ask me ;D

My 1 pence worth is that people don't so either for me! They don't criticise and suggest improvements ever - neither do they think they're stunning. I could go to great lengths sometimes, but I can't beat the standards I see. Hence I opted out of the screenshot contest and don't usually post screenies as a rule.

I'd rather people ripped my shots to shreads and sent me back with corrections than saying nice shots etc or just not saying anything if they're bad. At the end of the day if we all become too weak, can't be told, easily upset 2 year olds then we'll stay dumb.  ::)  I for one am willing to bear criticism if it helps me. Criticism ungrounded and without pointers is just rude IMO.
