A great story

The local council elections are coming up in Holland somewhere next month. Now this story isn't  about my local council but it's about the city council of The Hague.

At the last elections there was a great voting run on any city council with the Term Leefbaar (isn't really translatable int english) There was also a Leefbaar The Hague. Leefbaar was popular due to Pim Fortuyn who was tragically shot later on..

Anyway Little people knew that Leefbaar The Hague was much older than the othere newly formed Leefbaar Parties. Little voters knew that Leefbaar The Hague was formed by eight people who met each other in a psychiatric hospital. because little people knew that they got 8 seats in the council. With the funds they received they bought RC cars and boats ( sheesh...no planes) and they regularly got into fights with each other during the meetings..

Holland really is an amazing country. You can legally buy drugs, it has a famed sex industy and people in rooms with rubber wall paper can be elected
