Did you know that most patients wouldn't feel the side effects and will be healthy sooner if they took the medication EXACTLY AS DIRECTED?
Oooo! That reminds me of a story...
My mother was on a medication for her back...now on the label...in big letters read:
DO NOT USE DRINK ALCOHOL WHILE USING THIS MEDICATIONLater on in the week, she went out with some friends to a Mexican Restaurant (what passes for one in Northern Michigan anyways). She had a Margarita, then passed out in the bathroom...
Her friends had to help her in because she had hurt her food. The next day, she could barely move, so I had to miss work to take her to the Emergency room.
It turned out that she had broken her foot. I was so pissed. I mean, what part of that warning did she not understand. And she was, of course, unapologetic about it (saying things like: "I hadn't taken a pill for a long time" or "The Margarita did not have
that much alcohol in it").
By ignoring the warning, she had made life hard for me as well as I had not only my daughter, but
her to take care of as well.
