Apparently the theives used a crane to get the sculpture away - I mean, a crane is a HUGE, NOISY THING!!! Somebody must have noticed!!
Anyway, I hope they find it, that would be nice. 8)

This sounds suspiciously like the work of Carman Sandiago. ;D

I can see why they fear it may wind up as scrap -- according to the picture, it looks like it was already broken. :-X 8)

I saw an interesting headline on the Evening Times sellers stands in Glasgow last week:

London wins the right to hold the Olympics in 2012, and a large [b]bronze[/i] "sculpture" goes missing....

... put 2 and 2 together, and they've got enough there for all the bronze medals.

I'd be watching out now if I owned a large amount of silver or gold! ;) ;D

I saw an interesting headline on the Evening Times sellers stands in Glasgow last week:Bulldozer stolen:  It's large, noisy and yellow
Future news release:
Missing bulldozer pulled over. The occupant told authorities that he "was too tired to walk the rest of the way home and found haven in the bulldozer. I've been known to walk in my sleep but this is a first -- I just got in and kind of dozed off." 8)
