I still have my gliding licence but it's long out of date & no longer valid. I unfortunately lost my Student Pilot's Licence & logbooks many years ago so have no proof or records of my training. I never got my PPL for various reasons although I was told more than once that I was a natural pilot.

I can't say if FS is any help for the real thing as I did all this many years before FS or even PCs were invented. As for certificates, I'm very proud of this one presented to me after my 60th birthday pressie two years ago. Not bad for an old fogey. ;)

This was the first time I'd flown any aircraft for something like 35 years & I'd certainly never flown anything like the Extra before. I don't know about the M$ sims but it all came flooding back & it performed just like one of my R/C models. I loved every second of it. 8) :D

That's cool, Doug- are the pics on the certificate actually of your flight?
 I suddenly can't recall if i received any sort of document for my aerobatic lesson; should try to find it.

But I can look at the logbook entry anytime... while standing on my head is the best way.  ;)   Damn, that was fun-  got to do it again!! ;D
 Thought about posting a scan of my PP cert., but it may get duped for evil purposes. And it's a little ratty, as I made the mistake a few years back of keeping it in my wallet for a while. Embarassing.
Surprisingly flimsy card...
::)
