Sad day for music...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Mon Aug 22, 2005 8:56 am

Seems Robert Moog, the inventor of the first, ever popular, synthesizer, has passed away... My favorite radiostation did a piece on the guy, and it seems he has influenced music quite a bit! Guess his legacy will live on...

The hommage was ended by a hilarious cover of are you gonna go my way by lenny Kravitz on a moog... never heard that song any groovier...

Hi Omag...!

Ta for the heads-up...Just heard it in on BBc Radio News...
Very sad....same age as me...71... :o...!

His work helped me to design and build my own synthesizers in the 1970's...
Bought my first Pro Synths, Yamaha DX7, etc, in 1984....
...still got a big selection of them now... 8)...!
...still play 'em all...!

Cheers Omag...!

Paul.
