What is up with the Russians and submarine accidents?

What do you mean, what is up ???. The bad part of it is when they are down :'( ;).

Loads of submarines...

The only reason they allowed the RN to help them out is that the involved submarine doesn't contain sensitive technology as was the case with the Kursk. To be honest, i don't think that there was much that could be done in that case anyway, as the whole torpeo room was blown off in that accident after a torpedo accidentally started while still inside the tube
