Think Adolf's real name was Schicklegruber, so he obviously changed it, still who was going to argue with him ?

Just out of curiosity - what happened to all the 'Hitlers' after WW2, I mean, Adolf couldn't have been the only one, even if it wasn't a common name.

Sorry, but that's been bugging me all day.

Anybody know of any??

Cheers,

TSC.

Hitler had a sister.  (I think it was a sister...  Its been a long time since I've read Der Fuehrer.)  She lived long after the war.  I just don't remember if she had the same name or ever married.  The only other family member I know about that was alive when he was Hitler, was a niece...  But she killed herself in the 30's.

Anyway Ramos, do what feels right.  If you're unhappy with your name, you have the right to change it.

I once met a lady whose name was Ona Doctor... If anyone needs to change their name, its her. :P
Seriously though, I don't think you should change it.

I'm not sure if they went into their profession relative to their names or not but I know of a Doctor 'Gore' and a Doctor 'Achy'.
That reminds me that my dad's initials were ACH and I once told him he was an "e" short of an ache.
I, also, have come across names I think the bearers should change; Ramos is not amongst them. I'm not sure what Ramos means -- it's Greek to my ears.

Alexander @= "Defender of man"
I guess you're a "Defender of men with a Great Branch"
Sounds like a Teddy Roosevelt type thing ("Speak softly and carry a big stick").
Anyway, Greetings, "From the Land of the Warrior, the Elf in Council*, Son of the Strong"

*Our British friends should recognize this one since it's from one of their early Saxon kings. ;)

My German's not that good -- can only order bread & water (brut & wasser). Nevertheless, I'd probably agree with Sock's response.
It would have been better had Hitler ended his battle there and left everyone else out of it.

Don't change your last name, but I can't say the same for the middle name.  That's where I shall be creative one day!

I love my last name.  People never fudge it up.  Starr! ;D In fact, I had someone tell me my nametag had homosexual tendencies, and I shouldn't try to be cute and just put my real name there.

Then I informed then Starr comes from the Polish Gwiazda!  Didn't they feel like a horse's...     butt!

Seems the name "Ramos" isn't so unique: saw it on a mailbox along the Loudon Rd. going out of Pittsfield, NH.

I know of a Dr. Bonebrake. That is the #1 worst name for a doctor. That's like a waiter having the name Spitinfood, or a librarian named Bookburn.
