July 1st..."HAPPY CANADA DAY"

Postby FLYING_TRUCKER » Fri Jul 01, 2005 8:26 am

Hello everyone :)

The old girl and I just got back after several long days spent in the C172 looking for a second aeroplane.

Not sure how successful we were, I did put an offer in on a Lake but won't know anything till next week. ::)

To-day is Canada Day and there are celebrations in every Province from coast to coast.

We will attend and participate at the local bug smashing field in a flour bombing contest, spot landing contest and flying poker run.

There is a dance and party to-night at the flying field so we have arranged to ride the Drunk Bus home from the field.

You can not imagine how the old girl of mine participates in these functions :o she is a sociable drinker but she gets chuck full of sociability ;D and me...well I am the most perfect little gentleman you can imagine. :)

Well wishing all you Canucks a GREAT CANADA DAY.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S.  Hope the old girl don;t read this or I will be standing in the corner in the barn again ;DLOL

"Canuckistan" LOL.

Sounds like great fun. I will be attending a cook-out tonight, only ours is an early 4th of July (US independance day) thing. But what the heck, I'll offer a toast to our friends to the North.  :)

Canada Day?  You guys need better PR.  Seems like I just finished celebrating Cinco de Mayo but what the heck, I'll hoist a couple of Labatts to you.

I have a packed schedule this weekend!

Saturday, Big BBQ with all my friends. Later that night there is a HUGE Fireworks display put on from a barge across the street from the house. We all sit on his back lawn and watch. The show is so close you can feel the heat sometimes from the explosions!!

Sunday I will do a bit around the house then to my parents for some more celebrating.

Monday, July 4th Barb & I are having about 20 people over. Some of them the same from Saturday and a few new ones! I am making chicken & Beef kabobs with peppers and stuff!! Lots of cocktails too!!

Tuesday is hangover Day!!  :P

Well everyone July 1st "Canada Day or Dominion Day" if you prefer and July 4th "Independence Day" for our American Friends is done and over.

Most folks are back to work now or starting holidays, we are about to help clean up the bug smasher field and get things put back to order.

I hope you all had a safe and fun holiday and Dave I wish I had of tried one of your beef kabobs with peppers, now that is to my liking.
