I do the same thing at a friend's house, (except it was GTA ViceCity) and around 5:40 we (the 4 of us) went outside to watch one of us skate.  Sunrise wasn't that incredible, but the village was new and there were no trees, so everything fit.  (Partially because of the 15 Mtn. Dew's we had been drinking.  But it WAS one of those moments.

The last sunrise I've seen was two days ago. I heard the birds singing and saw the sky turning gold and thought..."oh,f+ck"...and finally went to bed at 5am.

Oh, Man, I'm so guilty! Did you think about shooting the birds? I hate it when them damn things start singing when I try to go to bed at 5 in the morning. Thats when I unleash my kittys ;D I even had them bring live birds to me when I'm sleeping. They are purring real loud as the bird is trying to escape from their mouth :o :(

WAAAAAY off topic, but my cats have brought live chipmunks and mice into the house on four separate occasions, I guess just for a bit of sport.  Makes for a load of fun trying to catch them ;D

I was working security for Circus Circus Hotel/Casino in Reno, NV. It was my first time walling the 28 story tower. This walk would start at the roof and a walk all the way down to the basement. Nearing the end of my shift I walked out on the roof and saw what I thought was the most awesome site ever. The sun was just starting to come out from behind the Carson mountian range to the East. A few clouds just enhanced it

Surpirsingly similar to a moment that I had recently. I took my xbox over to my friends house nad we were playing Halo2 system link... At 3 in the morning one of them lost his temper because me and  my pal kept sniping him, so we all carried him outside and threw him in hte pool before jumping in after him. Great moments...   ::) :)

When we lived in California, we were frequent visitors to Yosemite.  We would take off in the middle of the night to drive the 2 hours and watch the sun come up over the valley.  It's incredible.

This particular night, we arrived in the valley to find it filled with smoke from a controlled burn to remove the excess vegetation that would cause a real serious fire.  Somehow we had gone past the roadblocks, or perhaps they had been removed, as the fire was out.  However, as we got deeper into the valley, we passed through an area that had obviously just been burned.  The smoke filled the entire valley, and the trees were still glowing with burning embers, and even small fires on the trees here and there.

As dangerous as it might have been, the temptation was too great and we got out of the car and walked into the woods about a hundred yards.  It was pitch black except for the orange glow, and the only sound was the occasional popping from the smoldering trees.

It was the most incredible thing I have ever seen and my attempts here cannot begin to describe it...

I catch the sunrise most mornings, all year round!  ::)

How I wish for the day Fozzer enjoyed so much - I work for the same sort of employer........

I had a "Magic Mushroom" a few years back, that induced some "Magic Moments", I can tell you!  :o  ;D  ;)

My favorite place to watch the sun come up is the Scottish Highlands, the A9 to Inverness being an exceptional road for great sunrises! - Little else....  ;)
