I know when Saskatchewan was considering changing over it was for business reasons....seems people from other places didn't like dealing with Sask. companies around the time change as they couldn't figure out what time it was there. :)

Although business is often used as a reason for standardising time all over Europe I think it's a flawed notion. I don't kow how they go on in countries like the US spanning several different time zones. I used to phone companies all over the world (as I chat on this forum) without a single problem. Using DST just for the sake of it is ridiculous but in some parts of the world it's very practical. It depends on where in this world you are.
