What I like about Japanese/Asian movies is that they are so right in your face! And of course The silence ;D

Anime is...Not easy to describe for me. I watch and have watched so many different series. A lot of action ones but also drama and comedy. I'll tell you this however: I literally cried when watching some anime's Sometimes of laughing sometimes of sadness. I felt sad for a week once when somebody died in a serie. You just get pulled into them. ;D

The only Japanese movies I've seen are Ghost In The Shell 1&2, yes they are animes and are extremely well done.

yup theyre great!

You should try Appleseed the movie is very nicely done!

Also later this year Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children the movie that one is gonna rock!! The trailers are way cool!

Thanks for the recommendation, Yurei- I hadn't heard of that one. I'll be off to the Netflix site next, to see if they have it...

as i said, i'm not into anime at all but i have to agree with you! for me it was Grave of the Firelflies. i never thought an animation could be so depressing :'(

The sister dying part was from Grave of the Fireflies. Although 2 Moments in anime Really made me and others(so I've read on forums) cry. The Dissapering of Sai In Hikaru no Go (my fav) and The Burial Of cpt Hughes in Full metal Alchemist :'( :'(
