Reminds me of a group that made music out of garbage cans, brooms, etc (I think it was called slam)..

The group you are thinking of is called STOMP. I've seen them live and they are absolutely sensational.

Only seen them on TV but I would have to agree. I might be a tad biased as they're a local group.
The percussion group 'Stomp' was created in Brighton in the UK in the Summer of 1991 after ten years of collaboration between its creators Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas.

This reminds me of another "speciality" group called the "Flying Pickets" from the early 1980's.
(Hagar will remember them*).. 8)...!
They had a lead singer, and all the instrumental parts were "voiced" by the other members of the group.

Paul.

P.S. I think the bloke with the bald head voiced the very low, string bass part... ;)... ;D...!

Yes Paul. I remember the Flying Pickets well. Went to see them on one of their regular visits to Worthing. Very good they were too. 8)

Hi Doug...!

I noticed you did not offer to entertain the other Members of the Forum together with Fozzer in a duet  of "Only You"

The Pickets thing reminds me of a new album I just heard about... damn, can't remember the young lady's name, but she recreated the entire  Tommy album, using her voice for every part. I really want to hear that. Apparently Pete himself gave it a nod of approval...

And BTW, thanks for the link, jordan! My favorite part of that is when all the little figures make their various exits...

also Blast, Blast 2, and Blue Man Group are also great shows. I saw Blast 2 recently and It was awesome. one guy had a set of quints (the 5 tenors used in Marching) doing cartwheels. the guy was nuts.
