Im in Southampton, right on the South coast!

I fly elevator/rudder left stick, Aileron/throttle right stick.  Just the way my dad taught me.

I have had great fun with gliders, both thermal soarers and slope models.

well if you have no control over the up and down after its in the air then probly not a good one...that was my mistake.  basicaly bought a $120 lawn dart a few years ago.  only thing i had control of was the turns and that was by slowing one engine down :-/      

Now there is a piper cub im looking at for about $100.  Looks like a good model for that price.  full control over climbs and decents as well as turns and speed.       that would probly be my choice for a true begining

nah, you don't need a cub you need an extra 300! ( gotta love them little German planes) Just go to the airport and steal one!! On a more serious note If you really want to fly RC, you should get hooked up with a club, and look at getting yourself a .40 sized glow trainer. It's the only way to go if you are serious about flying rc. The cheapo $50 planes are just "Toys" .
