Nice gift Omag. ;)

I used to collect reference books from anywhere I could find them. There's lots of bargains to be had if you look in the right places & you have to snap them up quick or regret it. I'll go through my library later to see if I can recommend anything. So much depends on what you're interested in. Most of mine have some military significance.

Well, I am kinda moving away from the "download plane and have fun" approach of FS. I start beeing more interested in the back-ground of aviation. I'd like a bit more info on the history, facts,... of planes. I tend to lean more to "prop" planes and historical warbirds. The latest passengerjets and fighters are nice to, but they don't have that "je-ne-sais-quoi" about the older birds. Perhaps cause i also have an interest in our near-by history ( end 19e century till,  well about now... )

However i am not a "speciallist" on those subjects. Some of the guys around here sometimes even scare me with their knowledge on specific subjects...     ;D

Strange thing is i never was a great student, but lately i am really enjoying learning new stuff. Like new worlds opening once you start following a certain subject. Up until 1 year ago i knew nothing 'bout planes. Sur, i knew cessna, boeing 737 and 747 and the shape of a spit, but that's about it. When i quickly ran trough the book i got, i was pleasently surprised i already recognize quite a good lot of them...

Oh well, i am just glad i still enjoy the whole FS world. Buying that little box from microsoft was a great thing...  ;D

Same here, which is why I have so many bookcases...

As for reviews, I sure we could sort something out...

Nice Omag, but I think you'll find that's a Mustang on the cover and not a Spitfire.  ;)

Quite correct my dear friend, but the one I got has a spitfire on the cover. Guess the shown picture is the last edition, mine perhaps the one before that one or a European edition...

Hmm.. after re-reading my first message i can see i wasn't as clear on that as i wiched...  ;)
