Can't easily figure it out, but how far is Washington from New York ... some 25-35 miles?

According to the airport distance calculator on the main page, and depending on which airports you're flying to/from, it's 185 nm.

I don't think so, since the nearest major airport to both is Newcastle International....

Which Washington are we talking about? There's a village named Washington about 15 miles north of where I'm sitting. http://www.washington-village.freeserve.co.uk/
I reckon that's something like 3,000 miles from New York, give or take a few miles. Guess that ain't the one you meant. ::) ;)

Could it be possible that there is a Washington and a New York in our very own north of England? I've just tried an atlas but it doesn't go into enough detail. But i'm guessing thats what you mean only because there's no Newcastle between Washington DC and New York USA in my atlas.
