"Them indoors" have an unerring knack for doing this. I think they learn it from their mums. Fortunately I'm happily divorced & no longer bothered by this annoying little habit of theirs. ::) :P ;)

You know it is a funny thing, wives that is.
My father warned me about them, and then on my wedding day re-enforced the facts in my mind.

You can sit in a room with your wife for hours on end just staring at each otherl and nothing will be said to each other. Then your favorite TV program or a good book grabs you attention then they want to talk!!

Well I was through with that after my divorce and loved the fact that interruptions were limited. Then I had my mom move in with me! ::)
I now know where all this advice my father tried so hard to instill in my mind came from, can be just like we were married, Doesn't want to talk about nothing until she realizes I'm in the middle of something then the gabbing starts!

Another annoying thing my dad tried to warn me about is the fact women love to wake you up from a deep sleep, just to ask "Are you asleep?" >:(

My mom still does this on a daily basis, beats the hell out of the bedroom door, then asks "Are you sleeping?"
Now first thing is if you thought I was why the hell are you beating on the door??!!!!

Women, can't live with them, can't kill them ;D

Kids have an uncanny knack of doing that too ....Frett.

My step kids seem to know when we are settling down for our evenings viewing and then they take it in turns to disturb. As for sleep ......... whats that .. both of them seem to live on 2hrs sleep and if they're awake .... they make sure everyone else has to be.  :(

LMAO ;D I think this can be roughly translated as "Wake up you lazy sod. If I'm awake what right have you to be asleep?" ;)

I'm convinced that men & women were never designed to live with each other.

I have to argue this one, we're well designed to live with each other. Its just we're so different that sometimes things come to a head a wee bit.
I'm lucky in that my wife is v.understand, a wonderful cook, and only occassionally makes me change nappies. In return I don't complain when her friends come over, she has the TV remote (I hide behind my PC), and all is well ;D
Or maybe I'm just the lucky one....
Oh and she has agreed that garages can be used for building aeroplanes without tooooooo much grief.... well I say that I did have to spend nearly a year arguing my case and agreeing not to nip off down the pub with the lads, but for my flying I'm prepared to make sacrifices 8)
