I just received a report that Mt. Adams is now showing movement and also a 3.5mag quake accrued at Medicine Lakes Volcano in Montana. Looks like the Cascade ring of fire is waking up/ :o

Oh, forgot to mention that the Yellowstone Super Volcano has jumped significantly in small earthquake activity also. This is not good. :)

Bare in mind that you shouldn't jump to conclusions on such things.  I am no expert on the subject, but it seems like old volcanoes do tend to grumble in their sleep every now and then.  Just because St. Helens is acting up and there have been some minor quakes elseware doesn't mean that the Cascade Mountains are going to suddenly come back alive.  They do occassionally see activity like this on Mountains such as Hood, the 3 Sisters, and other mountains in the region.

Yes, I figured that as well. But, with all of the excitement of Mt St. Helen and now attention turning to the other local volcano's. I thought it was worth mentioning. ;)

Did you find this information on a website or on TV, about Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams?

I thought you guys might enjoy this.  On October 6th, I got up and saw the front page of the local paper (The Register-Guard) had one of the best photos I have seen of Mount St. Helens since it started acting up-and I thought I would share it with you.  This photo was taken by a camara at 12,000 feet up as it spit out ash and steam on Tuesday (October 5th).  You can also see Mt. Rainier in the background.  Anyway, I thought you guys would enjoy it.   ;D

I just want to say again that I didn't take this photo, I just found it in the local paper.  I don't know who took the photo, if I knew I would post his name.
