It's cool and all but it doesn't look like the nose of the airplane is hanging over the road (as implied by the photo). The article says the plane was overhanging, and indeed part of the wing may be overhanging a small part of the road, but I don't think the drivers are driving under the nose of the C5 (as implied by photo).
Instead this looks like one of those cases where the road goes under the runway/taxiway and the plane is stuck on the overpass. Drivers are probably used to seeing smaller (737 and such) aircraft up there so the sight of a C5 may be unusual but not mind boggling.
