A good collection of Gates' Megasoft blunders.;)

I've forgotten that thing thats said about windows 98.... it run like something like this: "...is by a 64 bit processor and ends like "...designed by a 2 bit company."

Can anyone tell me what it is? I wanted it for my signature on another website.

I've been using this as my signature for many years ;D

"Windows 98 is a 32-bit shell for a 16-bit extension to an 8-bit operating system designed for a 4-bit microprocessor by a 2-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition."

The Gates of hell have opened and they'll soon be over run by Apples and penguins if they're not careful.

It's not that they/we are stupid. There are some things people experience and learn, others that just don't care to know because it may not apply to/influence them.

I know darn well where the Arabian Gulf is. Been there five times on four ships. I know it used to be called the Persian Gulf. But how many Americans "know" where Diego Garcia is. I've been there twice with the USS Missouri.

I'm not good a geography and probably would have fallen into the problems as those people mentioned. But with an IQ of about 170, I don't consider myself stupid. Even though I've only read (cover to cover) four books in my life and dropped out of high school.

But still, how can anyone not know where the Pacific Ocean is?

Remember that that probably includes the South. I'm willing to bet Canadians are dumber than Americans.

Skittles, you got any good pics of "Mighty Mo" (BB-63 for those less nautically inclined)?

Diego Garcia is a British possesion, leased to the US, located in the southern Indian Ocean. It is used as a resupply/repair facility and an airbase. :)

Anyone familiar with Jay Leno's "Jaywalking" segments knows that there is a lot of ignorance in our society.

Its a reflection on the education system Jim. Nowadays it seems to be all about the students rights, not their responsibilities.
I'm always amazed in Hungary how much my students know, as their rights are limited, e.g. if a kid was wearing a walkman in my lesson I could drag them off to the headmaster and they'd be suspended for two weeks and their parents would be hauled in for a good 'chat', in the States the teacher would be arrested for assault for removing their headphones.
Alas Britain is following this same policy, which is why I won't teach there anymore, my life is worth more than the money they give me for risking being stabbed on a daily basis :( as one of my friends found out on his third month as a teacher, and the kid wasn't even arrested, or even expelled >:(

Plus when you live in freedom, many times you abuse it, then forget about what it took to get there, then become completely ignorant about anything else but yourself. Seems to be the trend around now, no wonder there are so many ingnorant people. More emphasis on buying less emphasis on knowing, the country gets rich put the people stay ignorant.

When you have to work hard for it it becomes more important to you, thats why there is so much ignorance now adays
