Dutch TV have analysed the footage of Beckhams penalty...... It was the surface that caused him to miss.

They did a slo mo frame by frame analasys and found that there wasnt clean contact with the ball ... a huge divit of grass and sand  made contact before Beckhams foot. Their opinion ..... the penalty should have been retaken.

Tis only a game chaps. The condition of the penalty spot was the same for everyone. They should take more care in placing the ball. Referee's decision is final. No use crying over spilt milk. Better luck next time.

I'm patriotic, - so slightly disappointed.  ::)
But look on the bright side, Britain won't loose millions of pounds through people skipping work and taking a sickie.
Britain is a country that has lost sense of reality and has nothing to stick its head up anyway. I'm not expressing my views on why I think that, but believe me Britain will get worse and worse as a nation, economically and as a society. Ok we all might be better off, but I dread to think what will be going on in Britiain in 25, 50 years time.
