I read somewhere that one particular lady flies from Bristol (I think) to Scotland regularly with Ryanair. The ticket costs something like

LOOK, its a bird, maybe a plane, it's......it's.......it's Greyhound of the skies!

Unix Airlines: Everyone brings one piece of the plane. Then they go on the runway and piece it together, all the while arguing about what kind of plane they're building.
Linux Airlines:  An airline that is full of great people, they go to all over the world, and they always depart and arrive right when they said they will.  Your incredibly cheap ticket consists of an instruction manual and a pile of bolts for your seat, you just have to put it together and install it in the plane yourself.
DOS Airlines: Everybody pushes it till it glides, then jumps on and lets it coast till it skids, then jumps off, pushes, jumps back on, etc.

A no-frills airline
You'll Know It's a No-Frills Airline If:
They don't sell tickets, they sell chances.
All the insurance machines in the terminal are sold out.
Before the flight, the passengers get together and elect a pilot.
If you kiss the wing for luck before boarding, it kisses you back.
You cannot board the plane unless you have the exact change.
Before you took off, the stewardess tells you to fasten your Velcro.
The Captain asks all the passengers to chip in a little for gas.
When they pull the steps away, the plane starts rocking.
The Captain yells at the ground crew to get the cows off the runway.
You ask the Captain how often their planes crash and he sez, "Just once."
No movie. Don't need one.
lol ;D

I think it is a great idea. The last flight I took was from Knoxville TN to Saginaw Mi at the cost of $600! It wasn't one of those "short" flights but we didn't get beverages or even a bag of peanuts!! The two available bathrooms were out of order, and absoultly no entertainment at all.
I like the removeing the reclining seats!! I'm tall at 6' and i hate it when some fat dude sits in front and slams his seat into me, and that is never bad enough he has to readjust himself every three minutes!
The one thing I didn't seem to understand in the article is that they said they would be able too pass the savings along to the customers. How? When they are talking charging for baggage and water?

That wouldn't disturb me in an airplane,as long as the tickets are cheap and I'm allowed to use my MP-3 player... ::)

Holy Moly Batman! I think you're getting bad deals, for me to fly from Phoenix AZ-Chicago-South Bend IN round trip costs $340.  It was slightly higher with Delta, $460 about, Phoenix AZ- Cinncinati (sp?)- South Bend IN

I go to my local AAA motor club branch and have them book me tickets, they're good at finding the steal of a deal.  They do charge $20 for their service...
