um, politicians shouldnt try to be phsycologists, they will just make themselves look like idiots.

we get adreneline everyday, nothing will stop it.  it is what keeps our species alive (and also contributes to many darwin awards, but that too cannot be stopped)

IMO a lot of them are idiots to begin with.

Also, I think a lot of that stuff people say about violent video games is crap.

I also agree that people need to be held responsible for their own actions.

If people are so easily influenced by that which they observe in film, or hear in music, then why do we never hear about the good things they do?

You never hear about people who become nuns because they watched Sister Act.

People don't go into the jungle and study gorillas because they saw a National Geographic biography of Jane Goodall.

The sad truth is, people will credit themselves with the good they do, and blame others for the bad.

Responsibility starts (and ends) with yourself.
Great edit, Bob.

I've just been watching a cookery program on the television... :o...!
I'm going to beat up an egg now with a sharp, forked utensil, turn it into an omlette, and eat it... >:(...!
That's the sort of influence the violent media has upon me... ::)...!
LOL...!

Hmmm. You told us you no longer have a TV set. :P

I still stand by my previous comments. Most of us around here are reasonably intelligent & not easily influenced. We can hopefully tell the difference between fantasy & reality. Unfortunately, there seems to be an increasing number of people in this world who can't. These are the ones that worry me. ::)

Scott, you could not have been 100% more right.  People love to blame everything bad on someone else.  It's never my fault I pi$$ed of the boss, he's just an a$$hole.  The guy at the store saved the crappy cut of meat JUST for me.  The kid at Burger King got my order wrong on purpose!  There is no big conspiracy out there folks.  No one is out to get you and people are not as bad as you might think.  We all need to get past ourselves and get on with life.
