Borrowing someone's face is hard as h377.

Think about it. You have to connect all the little muscles and nerves of the new face to the muscles and nerves of the patient. Not only that, It's hard to find a perfect size. Remember, no two faces are the same [except for twins].

That is a touchy procedure with a high risk of failure. If it fails a person will probably intentionally be put in to a coma for extreme reconstructive surgery. The nerve damage that is sure to happen will probably cause loss of feeling in part of the face. I would never let that be preformed on me!

The face of a corpse, hmmmm.  Imagine knowing that the face of a loved one lives on after death, and that you might one day bump into them.....

This isn't going to go far.  Here's the problem.

One of the most significant characteristics of the face is the distance between the eyes.  All those facial recognition softwares you see them use in government measure this distance.  It's so unique to each person, that it rules out thousands of potential matches just with that one measurement.

Now, here's my dilemma.  How hard is it going to be to find a donor match at the right time that matches that of the recipient?  The odds are frighteningly low, I'd think.

However, how great would it be if we could all get Fozzer's face simultaneously?  That would make for a great "We are SimV" image.

I was also very doubtful about this until I heard a discussion on the radio with the surgeons involved. The whole point is that it would only be considered in extreme circumstances. There is no old face to go back to.

Can you imagine a guy with no face walking around your neighbourhood.  This is even scarier then thousands of Fozzers.
