M$ and Google

Postby ozzy72 » Sat Nov 01, 2003 7:00 am

As I'm sure many of you have heard M$ has expressed interest in buying Google, and Google is planning to float its shares shortly.
What do you all think about this. Personally I'm not in favour of M$ getting hold of Google, it'd probably stop working, or they'd limit access or something.

depends on what they then plan to do with it, as googles search is alot like yahoos, and they both work together.

Bad idea. If M$ get their hands on Google I'll have to find something else. >:(

I love Google, I use it all the time and I can never remember having any problems with it, this is probably due to the simplicity of the program, if M$ buys it, they will probably try to change it into something fancy that sucks and then charge you $9.95 a month to use it.

and good bye pop-up blocker because it comes along wiht the toolbar

On the other hand, Yahoo toolbar is noiw getting a pop up stopper beta and the search is just as good as google, maybe not the the same but pretty much equal. I have the yahoo toolbar and its great but thats irrelevant.

If MS buys Google, Yahoo will change.
