computer ignoramus question

Some how after 2days of trying, I was able to insert a personlized picture in my profile. I went to another sight, right clicked on the picture, used"create link" and everything was OK.   Now that I'm trying it again, it won't work I was able to save some of the pic's that I like to my computer but I don't know how to insert them. When I try the original way that worked, I either get a " connection timed out" message, or "unable to edit profile" message.
Somebody, please help.

PaPa said, the site is having server problems,
look at Petes post in SITE NEWS!!
We had the same problem!
The best way is to upload to this site and use
http:// ww.simviation.com/yabbuploads /whatever.jpg

Thanks Kimber, that makes me feel like LESS of an ignoramus. I need to know (compu. 101) how to install a picture that I have saved to disk, and that isn't at a webadress.

Hi Ottol;

Just like posting a picture in screen shots, upload
and use the site address in the profile, for the one
on the left you don't need the img thing , just the
address, in the bottom part you need the img thing!

Thanks, but I just tried it again...don't think the problem is resolved yet. I'll try again tommorow, all this stuff is giving me a headache, and to top it off, I had a root canal done today.  :(  Bad combination!

Hi Ottol;

Sorry about the root canal thing!

In the Green one just put the Simviation upload
address with your file name at the end!!

In the yellow one you need to use the ]img[

Okay, this is getting out of hand! Now I can't edit anything on my profile! Does this have something to do with the new server? It just keeps showing me a "unable to edit profile"message!

I just edited my own profile to check it out. No problems here.
