and there's me thinking that you only need 1 per household and even if you have a b&w TV with a video, you need to pay for a colour licence. What's the deal there

A black and white television will not play a color videocassette in color, no matter how many licenses you've got.  lol

Yeah but here we have to put up with those stupid, load, annoying commercials.  Especially since almost everyone on TV ads has that dumb electified Guinea Pig hairdo. >:(
