He sounds like a perfectly normal insecure young man.  The one's who shout loudest about girls are usually the least succesful.  I get loads of grief at work from colleagues who do not understand the hobby at all, but let's be honest it is the same with most hobbies.  I cannot understand the obsession some have with fishing.  I just appreciate that they like it and leave it there.  I would try and find out if this colleague has any other interests beside girls, whenever he laughs at you for your flight simming draw comparisons to his hobby, even if it doesn't work to keep him quiet it will make you feel better if you can get him back some times.

With the old "get a life" routine, are you happy with your life?  If you are the best reply is "Already got one thanks, it's great fun." or something along those lines.  If he really bugs you interupt him with something when he is talking to a pretty girl and start talking to her yourself, you have an interest which girls DO appreciate (Kimber, Stormy and Shorty to name just 3) and if he's into nothing but "girls" he'll lose out in the long run.

Ps does this make any sense??

Actually, he mentioned that I don't keep anything to myself. Here in the real world, I tried my best to 'look normal' and to keep my obsessions away from most people, but it didn't work. One of my co-workers thinks my obsession with Aviation is 'silly', and that all my time flying 'stupid' little games is nothing but a waste of time

When I told him about the airshow and all the aircrafts I got to sit in, he thought I was pathetic.

He's obsessed with girls, and when he starts talking, I always break in and start talking about other things. This has annoyed him to no end  He tells me to get a life. What do I tell him?

couple of people like this where i used to work. and all they could ever think of coming up with as topics of discussion instead was about the weather ::)
simply put, girls are great and all, but lets face it, flying is just so much better:) leads to alot less trouble to

When you really get down to it, the subject of this thread is about as significant as the complaints about the little pink girlie symbol.
I guess some people are compelled to complain about any little thing they can find.

I have a real Vauxhall Nova with a simulated MOT, and a simulated drivers license.  I'll happily buy you Sim Beer 2007 if you come round.

Believe me, it works.........and he'll leave you alone for good.
