Whats the best sports performance you ever saw live  ???....we have all seen great stuff on TV, but what was the best you ever got to see with your own eyes ?

Mine was Sittlers "6 goal-4 assist" night vs Boston Bruins at Maple Leaf Gardens...... :o  ;D

Worst performance was Dallas Cowboys in Buffalo....
Cowboys lost and that was the only game the Buffalo Bills won that season  :(.......and NO, I'm not a Bills fan.  I went there, to see Dallas lasso the home team, but was sadly and miserably disappointed !  :'(  :'(

Colin McRae on his way to winning the RAC Rally. Some serious driving (I was on several stages), and he was going for it.
Before that, probably Ari Vatanen driving the Rothmans Escort on the Manx Rally (1980), WOW :o Possibly the greatest driver ever!
Jamie Witham in the British Superbikes racing at Brands Hatch (my local circuit), he didn't win, but he came from the back to a podium finish! Oh and I know him 8)
Worst performance, hmm, a local skiing championship in Austria, and a friend of mine (the only Brit stupid enough to enter) ended up with a broken arm, broken leg, concussion, and 6 cracked ribs. Mind you after he'd got better it did seem jolly funny ;D

i actually havent been to to many sports events, as such
but depending on how you look at it, its a split desicion, for "real sports" it would have to be romania tunisia football match during the 98 world cup in paris, at le stade du france, it was a new stadium at the time the atmosphere was unbelievable. full capacity.
for "sports entertainment" it would have to be going to wwf summer slam at wembly, i think the attendance was 93,000 fans, and the place went absolutly crazy when the british bulldog actually beat bret hart. It was the first time i got to see my hero shawn michaels in person and first even i went to, it was unbelievable.

worst would have to be a local stock car race, it was long boring and just plain dull:)

I've got to say watching the sprint finish on the Tour de France in Paris last year. Huge crowd and a seriously hot day. I also got some fantastic photo's of the teams and Lance Armstrong on the podium with his wife and kids.
Apart from that It would be watching my football team, Notts County, at Wembley in the first division play off final. I had tickets for the VIP box (got them as a prize from work) and although Notts lost we had a fantastic day. Got lunch in a posh hotel and met all the players after the game.
