ok now i am confused

well more so than usual. :)
I have read that KLM could be pulling the Amsterdam to memphis route this june which would really be a pain as its the only route through to tupelo(for some reason northwest doesnt offer it on the gatwick detroit memphis route) and also its pretty cheap. but it also says northwest will be picking it up instead, now on the klm site its still avaliable to be booked. now should i just go ahead and still book my flights as usual? if i do and the route is still there then fine but if it is changed to a northwest flight will i be transferred at no extra cost?as they are partners.
i know this is prob better in real aviation but nothing seems to get read there quickly.
also if anyone has anymore info on this i would be grateful i love the DC10 but 11 and a half hours on one isnt exactly my idea of fun as NW has rather small amounts of leg room on the thing at least the MD11 has a bit more room. maybe i'd get to go on a 747 if i am lucky'
anyway i will shut up and wait for any answers that may help:)
cheers

If you have purchased the ticket, then even if they go bankrupt you will be covered for your flight, there is some agreement that does this. So yup they could shunt you onto a NW flight. Try and avoid getting stuck on the DC though, unless you have an excellent chiropracter and masseuse!

i havent bought the ticket yet but i have little choice as my ride is longer avaliable from memphis to tupelo(i dont have my drivers license and my sense of direction is poor) so i need to fly all the way there and thats the only option for it. thanks for the info ozzy:)
as for the DC10 its my baby:) i have had something like 6 flights on it and it never gets old the sounds the power its all good a little discomfort is worth it. not long left for it in this world :-/
what i will do is prob book the flight through KLM directly then if things do change it'll be easier to sort out and hopefully they will move me to another flight. like i said the route will stay but as NW.
this trip is meant to be my dream come true yet so far is causing me more grey hair than a 19 year old needs:)
it'll be worth it when i am able to say i am able to fly a plane
