Moving on from Picasa to Google Photos

Must be a Curse, Karma, Penance of sorts or an Adverse Planetary Position in my house of Photography. All started many many years ago, when I heard of ''blogging'' and my curiosity went, vía Hotmail, to the SLOWEST blog of Web history, something Live that no more exists & nobody visited nor cared about. Because with Yahoo! mail I could connect my sons, I tried Yahoo!360º - I had discovered writing & liked it. Someone dared to opinionate & I answered... and a whole world of people sharing my interests started to hook me in. We became ''friends'' that have never met & respected others opinions, no insults nor deriding nor racism.

All my pictures, contacts, videos & etcéteras were there... until one day, Yahoo!360º was NO MORE. THey had transfered my things & my friends things to something MULTiPLY. And it was much much better, the comunity grew. A castilian speaking comunity from all over the world, some really talented people for writing stories & anecdotes from all over the world, from other cultures & continents. One day...some derelict inhuman being, tryed to turn it into a buying/selling site for his own proffit and VANiSHED THE WHOLE CONTRAPTION. Multiply became DiViDE.

So, with lesson learned (I thought!!), go Google that lasted all this catastrophes undaunted. I even learned CSS language to configure my Blogger as my Multiply blog was. Finally, all my pics in one secure place (Picasa) and my videos too (YouTube). But somehow, Google+ (Google Plus) was a lot more complicated than conecting every one in Multiply, where I just satarted a new blog and all my comunity could conect without more hassle. When I wanted to use my profile name as ''un Autista Disléxico'' (an Autistic Dislexic, since I am blessed with both qualities), Google Plus (or Google+) went furious & asked me for my passport, birth certificate & credit card if I wanted to use such a neme, because I could be a POTENTiAL TERRORiST. That did it and Google+ went to the septic tank!! My Blogger profile accepted me as ''un Autista Disléxico'' without any hicups. So now I comunicate with my exMultiply's in FACEBOOK (wich we said we hated it's guts when Multiply existed).

Now, it just came to my atention when visiting Hagar's response to Old-Timer Birthday Boy Trucking.... I noticed in his signature the "my photos" & went there because he really has an excellent collection, and noticed this warning:

Thanks for pointing this out Jean.

Not sure I like this new idea. I wish they would stop trying to fix things that ain't broke.

I suppose I will have to change the link in my sig.
