yes, in order to output data to the device (lights, meters, etc), you will need a programmable board.
ASUS P8Z77-VLK, I5-3570k @ 4.4ghz, G.SKILL 16gb 1600, GTX 570 2560MB GDDR5, 2x OCZ Vertex 4 128Gb SSD SATA 3,
WD 500GB SATA 3, ASUS DRW-24B1ST SATA 3, OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W Modular, Samsung 52" lcd, Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

I hate to be pessimistic, but i don't think you realize just how deep this project of yours goes.
Heres a link i found in 0.4 seconds about coding the variables you need to make your teensy board work.
https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_flightsim.html
I don't know if its exactly what you need, but this should shed some light on where you need to get to.

Also, have you, or anyone else on your team taken the time to learn and understand the SDK of your preferred sim? If you don't know the appropriate parts of that, i don't think your team will have much success.

So now, take efforts you have put thus far into asking for a quick solution, and divert them to learning about what you need to know to make this work. Then, rather than continuously asking for the solution, become part of the solution by sharing your own knowledge that you have gained with the community. You might find more in depth knowledge sharing becomes available if you know what you are talking about yourself.

By the way, hows things over at the forum dedicated to cockpit building? Find anything interesting there?

when i built my cockpit, I had to learn codeing from scratch to program my controller and write interface software.
this took me about 3 months to learn and code what i needed.

its not impossible for a noobie and not to difficult if you really want to do it.
research and planning is the key
