I'm not much into flag-waving....

.....in fact...I'm not into flag-waving at all!

The only time I ever displayed a Union Flag, (NOT a Union Jack!), was on the tail of my 1932 British-racing-green, Brooklands Grand Prix replica Riley 9 motor car, to represent its country of origin.

"Flag-waving" causes trouble and annoyance!.... ;) ....Trust me....!

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Just celebrate St. Crispin's Day, no one will ever fault you for dissing the French.

Paleolithic ancestry, Paul -- or are you accepting the eras prior to 1200 AD as ancient? The original, actual Britons were the Brithonic Celts prior to and during the Roman rule. The link you gave does admit to an intermingling of English (Anglo-Saxon) with the Scots as happened with some original Yorkshire Hudsons (in the list of septs).
