I consider myself very lucky to have discovered the State of California with my very first proper Flight Simulator in 1997 with the release of; "Flight Unlimited II" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_Unlimited_II
That introduction to San Francisco and the surrounding area fascinated me, and has resulted in my exploration of the whole California State, and the surrounding States in very great detail every day for the past 17 years!
Just about every variation of scenery can be found near the States bordering the Pacific Coast and I have been making the most of it ever since!
My purchase of various; "18 Wheels of Steel" Truck Simulators also enables me to explore the USA scenery at ground level!...>> http://www.scssoft.com/aa.php
...and specially for the whole of California; "Rig 'n Roll" ...>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rig_%27n%27_Roll

If you want to know anything about California, just drop me a line... ;) ...!

Paul.... with a Cessna 150 .....and a Peterbilt 18-wheel articulated truck!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.
