Looks a lot like that here in Oregon, altho it's melting away day by day now. I DID have to replace a cracked hose bib. at least THAT wasn't too rough.

I am entirely too fat and lazy to shovel snow any more, that's what local teenagers with snow blowers are for! :D

Have a great time all!

The air conditioning is driving up my electric bills.

Ah!...I thought it may have come from a news site (weather section).

A useful, up-to-date, U.S. "Weather Map" for my various collection of Maps.

Very handy on the Flight Sims when selecting "weather" for selected areas.

Paul.

Only for the USA, Dwayne... ..!
(But it works for the dates that you select).
.....but I am sure that the Sun was shining, the Birds were singing, and the whole World was joyful on the day that I was born. Especially my dear old Mum and Dad!

I like my Weather Maps. Very useful when Flight Simming, using; "Real Weather" settings for local areas.

Useful to know if ATC will allow me to take off for a VFR-only flight in my GA piston props...or allow me to land!... :o ....!

Fort Lauderdale, West Palm and Miami set temperature records

Temperatures in South Florida refused to fall early Sunday morning, making the start of the Christmas week one of the warmest on record, according to forecasters.

The likely warmest minimum temperatures ever for a Dec. 22 were recorded in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Miami between midnight and 7 a.m., said the National Weather Service.

"The reason why it's not cooling off has to do with strong high pressure over the Atlantic, and a strong easterly wind flow over ocean waters that are 77 degrees," said forecaster Barry Baxter in Miami.

The result: Fort Lauderdale's low temperature early Sunday was a balmy 77 degrees, two degrees higher than the record set in 2006.

The overnight low in West Palm Beach was also 77, which shattered the record 74 set in 1929. Miami's low reading was 76, which broke the mark of 75 set in 1911.

Meanwhile.. A bit north of Florida, the power was out for 7 hours at my place today. When it came back on I taped a hair dryer to a 12 foot pole to melt the ice off my satellite dish so I could get television back. Tree branches were falling like rain..

Do you know, with the unusually high temperatures on the lower East States and coastal region, I'm wondering if its a recipe for another violent Tornado advancing off the Atlantic Ocean?

Very mild over here in England, rain with occasional strong winds. Temperature this morning (Monday) 8*C, pressure falling, and very wet!

At least there is no sign of the dreaded snow and ice to inhibit my daily shopping travels on my Motor-bike!
