Google has done some great things, some stupid things, and some bad things.

And this is one of those really stupid bad things.

How to stop Google from using your Plus profile as caller ID

"All phones have caller ID. But in 2014, Google is extending caller identification on Android phones to access Google Plus profiles and show Plus profile pictures and names to anyone making or receiving calls on Android phones.

If you have registered a phone number with Google, it appears that you have already "opted in.""

"Google Plus profiles require people to use their real name, a policy that Google strongly enforces, even up to the point of having users send in government-issued ID."



"So when a random person calls you, they will see your Plus photo and your real name, thus making it easier to find your profile on Google Plus."

Anyone want to give their kid an android phone?

But let me just add, that even though you can opt out, most people won't know that.

Automatically opting in people should be illegal.



As an after note - I have never, and would never, give them my phone number or address. For that matter, even my YouTube account (started before Google bought them) is a nom-de-guerre.

Its pretty amazing how far google and other corporate companies can get away with invasion of privacy. Youtube kept reminding me of putting down your phone number for that ever so widely used excuse of better protection. Yahh...no. Now they linked up with google plus and all the rest of their services. Why? Speaking of google, does that chrome icon remind you of anything? I Dont claim to have any evidence that it is hal9000 and that there is a conspiracy going on but geesh. How far will people let these guys go?

I've been up Googles butt for quite a while, I'm quite PO'd at them for their ignorance & Stupidity, over what they done and how they've handled YOU TUBE since they purchased it.

They've about ruined YOU TUBE, its hard to believe they can ruin what was once a good thing, easy to use, and Navigate around.

Now, its like a Nightmare with all their stupid BS ya have to go thru, and I never use my real name, how they gonna know anyway, dumb bozo's,, I can still make up a name, I got a 1st name , JET, and my last name is , RANGER - Jet Ranger !!!

That's about all any of these sites are gonna get out of me !!!

Try calling Google Corporate offices sometime, its a real joy, bout' like trying to call microsofts corporate office and wanting to talk to the head Shit in charge, about impossible !

They wanna know all about you, but, wanna know something about them and their corporate staff its F.Y. !!!

They'll PO'd a lotta original YOU TUBE users who've been with them since the beginning, including myself, and, I'm seriously thinking of putting together a whole new web site for Video's like you tube used to be,, back in 2005 / 2006 NOT like it is now !

it'll take some doins and some money and time to get it all up workin properly and getting servers etc.

Anyway, GOOGLE / GAGGLE is officially on my S**t list !!!

they've hired too many Young idiots who don't know what their doing, can tell that by how "Un-Organized & Dis-Organized" their web site has become, they have ya goin everywhere all over the place to do the simplest things, mostly what ya don't wanna do in the 1st place, or shouldn't have to do !

I've come to the conclusion their doing it on purpose to eventually kill YOU TUBE and before long, it'll be called Google + for uploading videos, and it'll be a very generic looking boring web site loaded with all kinds of stupid stuff nobosy wants, needs or will use, about like MYSPACE did with their site !

I dunno' but if I had a good thing goin, like YOU TUBE used to be years ago, and a bunch of JackAzzes came along and screwed it up, they'd be hangin from a tree fairly fast !!

They hired too many of those so called young Trendy morons who are doing nothing to actually improve the site, their making it worse every few months to the point its NOT even fun to go there anymore, they've actually turned YOU TUBE into a full blown Headache for everybody !

Its just hard to imagine how so many could be so stupid to even approve have the changes they've made and are making. Especially up in the corporate office, they've got to be braindead up there !

Its equivalent to have your tires all aired up, and properly inflated and heres comes some brainless jerkwad, and lets the Air out of your tires and stands there and trys to tell ya how much better your vehicle will handle without any Air in your tires, I mean come on',,

the Stupidity Ignorance and Excuses are getting old now to the point of utterly ridlicious with Google / YOU TUBE !

The Jet man isn't ranting, he's pretty much telling the truth.


I used to wonder how these large multi-billion dollar companies could go bankrupt.

Unfortunately, I've gained a personal, and close up, education on how these companies can be destroy the from within by it's own executives.

And, yes, it is criminal. Not grand theft, but blatant stupidity. It's destruction of a valuable enterprise by people who really don't care, because they're protected be a golden parachute.

If someone destroyed you home, your car, your livelihood, wouldn't you want justice for what was, basically, criminal behavior?

But it's other businessmen like themselves that do the judging, so the blame never lands where it belongs.



Some will remember Enron. It once had assets of $65.5 BILLION. Gone.

THAT made a big stink at the time. But they were pikers.

Try WorldCom, it had assets of $103 BILLION. Gone

Washington Mutual, it had assets of $327.9 BILLION. Gone

Lehman Brothers, it had assets of $691 BILLION. Gone



These weren't companies that made a product that became obsolete overnight. They were destroyed by inexcusably stupidity and inept executives.



I work for a fortune 500 company. Or I should say that I will until December. That's when my division will be shut down.

As I would like to keep what little I have until then, I can't say more.
