Concorde gau mystery.

Hey folks. I use the Concorde gauges HSI and Attitude in A LOT of my panels. HOWEVER...I have a question. I like to know what my gauges are capable of and what each function does or means. On either the HSI or the Attitude (I dont remember which),there's a little flashing word "LIN or INS" and between it flashing the word,there is a dashed line. What is that?What does it mean,do,and what effects it ? In other words,WTH is that? Hehehehehe. :text-feedback:

Hahahaha!!! Seems to me that I picked a topic that has stumped my fellow simmers,eh? No worries. :lol: This has plagued me from the first time I hopped into my virtual Concorde. :confusion-confused:
