can someone explain about these settings

hello to all: if this gets moved tell me where you will put this post at.

under fsx I see some settings that I do not know anything about. hope someone can explain this to me and if I need to disable any.

disable desktop comosition

run in 256 colors

run in 640 X 480 screen resolution

disable visual themes

disable display scaling on high dpi settings

I do not know anything about these topics

These are not FS settings. They are Windows compatibility mode settings. If your program runs properly don't mess with them.
