Help please

Postby boromir125 » Thu Aug 01, 2013 2:51 pm

A while ago, I came across a tip for removing the 'black screen' from the windscreen(s) of downloaded aircraft. Of course, I just skimmed the read and didn't bother to copy anything. And of course, my Beachcraft C-45 has that dreaded 'black windscreen. I believe the fix had something to do with the cfg file. Any ideas???

Thanks

Can you be more specific. Which version of FS/CFS is this for? A file name or link to the page where the C-45 can be downloaded would help.

I believe you mean that you're in the dark unless you close the Panel bmp or select the Chase view. You can open the panel bmp with MSPaint and check that the two (verticle) pixels in the upper left are black even if framework or a wing extends there. If they appear so, they and the rest of the background 'black' may not be true black; in such case, it will need be recolored true black. However, if the bmp is in 256-color or less, MSPaint may not succeed in this venture; it would then require a better paint program to revert to higher resolution, recolor, then revert back (if needed, depending upon which sim).
