Anyone use SkyVector for their charts?
Uses current charts. You can draw out a flight plan on the chart. Click flightplan, add. And it draws a line with distance and bearing. Then click on Link and a new page will display with the route showing so you can save the plan or pass it to someone else.
Here's an example.
http://skyvector.com/?ll=33.02970082459 ... O:V.K2.DMN You can see the rout in the link. If the route doesn't show up right away, just refresh the page.
Printable too.

Very nice. I didn't log in yet, so, is it free?

sorry, don't remember the login. Yes it's free. Worth the register, I don't get spamed or anything.
The green dot's are current weather stations. Cursor over an airfield to get link for approach plates, airport information.

It's nice not having to buy charts and plates for simming.
It's too bad that the FSX online community is sparse. Do you fly with anyone online? Flight of two chasing VOR's and glideslopes is fun. No vis. no gps.
Tried FSHost but never got it to work.

It sounds like fun. I got online once for a few minutes. Setting up all the ports was an effort. So I did the manly thing.. I gave up on it.

ALL of the US sectionals, including Alaska and Hawaii, are now available in pdf form here at simviation, for now in the FSX Utilities library...

There's also a tutorial, if you want to learn how to use them correctly.
