you just have to have the PIC right there with you.
To take the controls I dont think there is an age, you just have to have the PIC right there with you. But to receive instruction I think its like 14 or 16. It's probably in FAR Part 61 and maybe a note in part 91 somewhere. I havent checked in a while.
14 years old to take instruction!?! That's news to me. I've been taking lessons since I was 12.
