Broke ipod on solo

Here's the story... :)

So about two weeks back I flew my solo in a K-13 glider. When returning the glider to the hangar, it is tradition that the new "captain" is baptised by means of several buckets of water and soap. Guess what, my new video ipod was in my pocket. Completely screwed it up, but Apple agreed to replace it and I can hopefully pick it up next week!  :)

Ooops. Lesson one - when achieving something important in aviation, be prepared for the unexpected when you return! ;D

Well done anyway... :)

When I soloed in a skyhawk I saw them waiting and promptly removed all important things from my pockets. I eventually got hold of the fire extinguisher and chased them around a bit.
