How much does it usually cost to go to flight school? And what is the minimun age to be able to do it?

For your private pilot's license? Depends on a lot of things, country, school, aircraft, stuff like that.

Somewhere in the ballpark of 4000 US dollars these days for the Private Pilot's License at the minimum required hours in a Cessna 172SP.

Oh, and you must be 16 to solo and 17 to actually get the license. ;)

Also depends on the aerodrome your taking it.  Here its costs a little more because theres landing fees...  :(  Good experience though

No minimum age to start, you can go whenever.  I've heard of 12 year olds flying.

Ya, there was a seven year old who was in the Dallas Morning News for flying one time, but her parents forced her to do it and there was this huge press thing about it.

You would probably pay about $5,000 US but it really depends where you train at. As long as you can reach the yoke, you can take flight lessons! ;D But don't expect to solo until you're 16 and get your PPL when you're 17... :)

Started flying just about a month after my 13th B-day and was stuck ever since.  Well, besides the fact I was obsessed with airplanes since I was about 5. lol

And I concur with the $5000 figure.  That should include everything needed up to and probably including the checkride fee.  (Unless you go with an FAA guy)

All we need is to parody that with a mastercard commercial  ;)

Darn right man. lol ;)  Before I even went to drivers ed I was getting ready to solo, and by the time I actually did get my drivers license, I already soloed and had about 20 hours under my belt.

I was so happy. On my 16th birthday I skipped school, went and got my driver's license and then floored my Camaro straight to the airport to solo. It was a long and very adventurous day. I was about bouncing off the walls that night. Couldn't sleep and had school the next day I believe it was.

17th birthday, same story. No school, go to the airport, take a little ride with the FAA chap, get my license. Fly all afternoon. ;)
