UK Flight School Prices (Aircraft Hire)

Postby J41 » Fri Apr 09, 2004 8:11 pm

Hi All
Just out of interest for those of you that fly for real,  what Aircraft do you use and whats the hourly rate you pay? It seems to vary so much and I wouldnt mind driving abit further to get it cheaper. On that note if anyone whats to meet and split the costs to let us hire the Aircraft for longer trips just post back here.

Thanks

Hi,

I am currently studying in a flight public school in Quebec/Canada. Because it is a public school, it cost almost nothing for 3 yaers of study with private, professionnal and commercial, IFR and twin.

We fly Beechcraft Sundowner C-23, Cessna 185, Piper Navajo and Bell 206 Jetranger.

Check your site:http://www.cegep-chicoutimi.qc.ca/cqfa/cqdec5.htm#anchor955553

But in Quebec, when you want to take your private liscence, it cost generally 8000$. They flight on Cessna 150 or 172. It cost 150$ with instructor and 100$ to rent a aircraft.

Ciao
