It also depends on the size of the aircraft.  In Norwich (UK) an hour in a Cessna 152 will set you back about

in the US, for learing in a Cessna 152, it would be 50-some dollars, or in the 172, it would be 85 dollars (gps equiped :)), plus the instructor pay of 25 dollars, no other fees where I was at...
