OAT

Recently purchased the C207 from Alabeo. Very pleased with it. I also use the Opus weather package.

Would it be reasonable to expect an outside air temp gauge with the 207? If there is one I can't find it. How can I tell if I need to switch the pitot heat on? I'd rather switch the heat on before it freezes up.

The weather conditions are displayed on the Opus map but I'd rather not use that, it seems like too much "outside assistance" and spoils the immersion of the sim.

any assistance would be appreciated :-)

Thanks Fozzer, you're a Scholar and a Gent. I may try and install one if I get time, doesn't look straight forward though.

as someone said in the thread you link to.......why would an AC not have one?

Simple solution to pitot heat... Turn it on immediately before take off and off after landing. Do nothing with it in between.

OAT is a bigger issue for assessing whether to use carb heat/alternate air (on a piston).
