How many times have you...

...suffered from "Get-down-itus"... :o ...., when your should have aborted a bad/dangerous landing, and "gone around" again?

Its all too easy to feel invincible in the Flight Sim, and make bad decisions!

I agree with you Paul, it is a matter of high responsability to abort and make another turn and land ..................if we don´t do that, things can go very very wrong and bad...............we have just one life..............

All landings are planned go-arounds.. unless everything works out so well, that a landing actually happens..

Probably a few times. Only two stick in my memory though. The first was the entertaining, and the highest G I'd ever "pulled" in the circuit on touchdown; the second a big aeroplane and a (relatively) short runway. We bounced, settled down and went around <<q .

I can think of a few, notably in a Canberra being given an OK to land with one on (One on the R/w) Problem was I was on short finals and the 1 on was a Cessna only half way down the R/w executing a 180. Almost took his strobe light there.

This to mind a problem in FSX that I’m sure you’re all aware of. That is when doing ccb’s if you touch the r/w ATC calls for you to contact ground and gives you a bollocking for taking off without permission.

Do ATC still tell you off if you advise them on the radio that you are about to perform a; "touch-and-go", rather than landing to a full stop?

Is there a Sim; "Landing Aborted. Going around" radio call?
