Jet Procedures?

Postby Jeff112 » Fri May 03, 2013 1:19 pm

Hello. After mastering the fundamentals of jet control and the likes I am still fuzzy on proper procedures. Let me explain.

I am confused on such items as when to pull up the flaps on take off, what speed and what altitude should I be at during descent and approach etc. I understand it is plane and airport specific but a general guide would be fantastic. (or a guide at a particular generic airport to serve as a model)

If anyone could provide a link to a tutorial or post their own guide from takeoff to landing that would be fantastic! Im trying to up my realism.

The "Pilots Operating Handbook" for the Aircraft, will give you all the information that you need, pertaining to your query.

Sometimes it is included with the Download.

Otherwise, "Google Search" the details for the particular Aircraft that you are interested in.

Every aircraft operates under different conditions.

Paul...that's what I do.... ;) ...!

We should also give thanks and a big salute to Dauntless Aviation, the publishers of SimPlates, for hosting Werner Schott's wonderful aircraft checklists.

For me I am a 737 captain in FSX and on Vatsim. Each jet has different procedures and the pilot checklist/handbook should help with speeds and flaps.I was flying cessna 172 in 2009 then in 2010 I started practising on the 737...Years of Practice! :)
