Oh, here he goes again.. rub it in, Boss... ;). I really do envy you that first time. And it is crazy when you've been reminded for weeks to be ready to solo, disappointed each time it doesn't happen, then- bam! The CFI gets out right in the middle of a lesson.  Mine said: "Gimme three good ones, I'll be right here watching". Ulp!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone ;D

My new CFI (my last one took a job with Midlantic jet, he called me and said "Do not EVER take a job with the airlines Brenden, this job is like a dream. Hell, you probably know how to fly these things better than I do, why don't you get down here?") says that as of this point, the only thing I need to do is make my landings a little smoother. The primary thing is that I can land by myself with everything (mostly) intact.

Chances are I'll get to do it the morning of my birthday, the 15th (made even better cos it's a school day). Can't wait 8).

Good luck! Not that you'll need it- you've done it before, just not by yourself... :) And don't forget to log the solo time under "P.I.C"!  ;)
