CAP, any good?

Postby Drake_TigerClaw » Tue Oct 03, 2006 2:24 pm

Well I'm moving back to the Atlanta area and now I'm near a few CAP squadrons. I was thinking of going down to their meeting tonight to check it out. But is the CAP a good thing to go into or is it just sort of eh..? I really dont know since I dont know anyone in the CAP and I was never a cadet (stuck with the scouts). So... Good? Bad? Ugly?

Depends entirely upon the detachment.  I looked into CAP, and because we have several CAP cadets here, I'll withhold what exactly I thought of it.  I would encourage you to go to the meeting to check it out, and I'm sure some of our CAP members here will give you some advice.

The only thing I know about the CAP experience for young cadets is that they get to fly in cool airplanes but have to march around a lot at airshows. ;D
